The Lone Wolf Leather Courier bag is made of Tärnsjö's natural 1,8 mm veg tanned cow hide. Just like all other Lone Wolf Leather goods the bag is all hand cut and hand stitched. For extra strength points of stress have been reinforced with copper rivets with carefully rounded heads so they don't snagg your clothing. All premium quality solid brass buckles are from a US supplier. The lacquer has been removed from the buckles to allow them to obtain a nice patina along with the leather. Needless to say, the bag has all components needed to age beautifully.
The Courier Bag is a modification of the U.S. Mail Bag and identical in size. Just like the U.S. Mail Bag the Courier Bag bag has one large main compartment, see dimensions below. The modifications include one 27cm W x 18cm H pocket on the forward panel, fits smaller iPads, etc. An extra 27cm W x 18cm H pocket added on the inside of the back panel that also has two smaller 10cm W x 13cm H cell phone size compartments and a pen holder. The bag is also fitted with a D-ring on the inside for attaching keys, etc. A D-ring on the outside of the bag has a leather braid with milk heart and bone beads attached to give the bag a more relaxed look. Each bag has a serial numbered Buffalo Nickel.
The solid brass buckles and lever snaps are also available in matte nickel. The hand stitching can be done in white or a brown contrasting thread.
Tärnsjö Tannery
Tärnsjö Garveri just north of Stockholm has provided Scandinavia with some of the best veg tanned leather in the world for the past 140 years. The tannery is among 5% of tanning houses worldwide that still employs the tradition of vegetable tanning in favor of the more time and cost-efficient chrome method. Vegetable tanning is environmentally friendly and sustainable. Tärnsjö's veg tanned leather is a rich, full leather that ages with grace.
